Lost Lake Communications has been dedicated to solving your most pressing communications challenges since 2016. Henry and Shannon Breimhurst are partners and former reporters who have amassed decades of experience working in agencies, health-care, non-profits and with organizations of all types and sizes.
While both are strong and experienced writers, each also brings a unique skillset and range of industry expertise. Henry is a generalist who speaks the language of developers, user experience planners, designers, clients and managers. He can sketch a site map, whiteboard a strategy, sell an idea, write the copy, and mediate the transition from 'creative idea' to 'technically possible. Shannon is a marketing/communications expert who can consult with you to understand your business and its needs, build an integrated, strategic communications plan to advance them, and do the work to see it through.
We are both high level thinkers and pragmatists. We can help you think around corners and develop strategic plans, and we are also happy to get into the weeds, taking on tactical writing and management tasks if that is the best way to help move your work forward.

Henry is a dyed-in-the-wool digital marketer and communicator with more than 20 years experience. He likes bridging that fuzzy line between creative and technology, thinking up and helping build interesting things that inspire action, provoke thought and build brands. His creative side is balanced by a passion for process and strategic thinking, bringing alignment based on the needs, goals and resources at play.
Henry comes from a copywriting and journalistic background, which helps him approach problems critically, match creative ideas and technologies with business goals, and always try to tell a good story.

MEET SHANNON: Marketing/communications consultant, strategic planner, and writer
Shannon is a mission-driven, collaborative expert who brings strategic and creative thinking to integrated marketing / communications planning. She is an excellent writer who tackles complex topics with confidence. She’s an intellectually curious problem solver, answer seeker, and active listener who can get to the heart of your communication problems and needs to deliver solutions.
Her background is in health care, nonprofits and journalism. She holds a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Minnesota.
